The #1 Reason
Fire & Combustion Risk
Overspray and combustible residue routinely accumulate in exhaust stacks, fans, and caps, creating a combustible fire hazard. Routine cleaning may be required or recommended by insurers, safety teams, or facility maintenance programs.
Reason #2
Reduced Airflow Volume & Quality Defects
Overspray coats fan blades, making them less efficient and causing significantly reduced airflow. Paint droplets that should be pulled into the filters instead fall on parts, creating quality defects.
Reason #3
Catastrophic Equipment & Production Failure
Heavy accumulation on fan blades and drive motors leads to bearing and motor failures. It also can cause conveyor chains and drive motors to bind or fail. Either problem brings your paint production line to a complete halt until costly emergency repairs are finished.
What we clean
Paint-system equipment Indigo dry ice blasts
Overspray and buildup collect across the line—not only in the stack. Indigo quotes crew-operated dry ice blasting for these paint-system components when the surfaces and access are a fit.
Stacks
Industrial paint stacks, exhaust stacks, and rooftop stack caps.
Exhaust fans
Paint-line exhaust fans, housings, and related motors.
Booths
Paint booths, booth interiors, and spraying areas.
Conveyors
Parts conveyors, gondolas, frames, and rails.
Ovens
Process ovens used with paint systems.
Chain drives
Chain drives and related moving conveyor components.
Parts washers
Parts washers tied to the paint line.
Filter plenums
Filter frames, filter plenums, and surrounding ductwork.
Robots
Painting robots and nearby application equipment.

How a paint quote works
From walkthrough to written quote
Every paint line is different. Indigo uses a clear process so maintenance and purchasing know what is included before work is scheduled.
- 1
Step 1
Plant System Tour
We start with a brief walkthrough of your paint system to learn how it operates, inspect current conditions, and understand what you need cleaned.
Smaller systems may only require a phone conversation and a few photos for us to prepare an initial budget quote.
- 2
Step 2
Create a Cleaning Solution Plan
We create a custom cleaning solution for your unique paint system, a timeline for getting the work done, and recommendations for an ongoing preventative maintenance program.
- 3
Step 3
Send a Service Quote
You receive a clear, easy-to-read quote for the work. You review it and decide whether to move forward.
Paint-system FAQ
Common questions about paint stack and booth cleaning
Straight answers about what Indigo cleans, how quoting works, and how crews fit around production.
- What paint-system equipment does Indigo clean?
- Indigo dry ice blasts paint stacks, exhaust fans and motors, rooftop stack caps, paint booths, filter frames and plenums, spraying and robotic application equipment, parts conveyors (including chain drives, gondolas, frames, and rails), process ovens, and parts washers tied to the paint line—when dry ice blasting fits the surfaces and access.
- Do you only clean paint stacks?
- Stacks are a major focus, but Indigo also cleans the paint-system components around them. The Get Started form on this page is the best place to describe the full scope.
- How do you prepare a paint-system quote?
- We start with a plant walkthrough, photos, or a phone discussion to understand how the system operates and what needs cleaned. You then receive a clear written quote to review before deciding to move forward.
- Can Indigo work nights, weekends, or holidays?
- Indigo provides services on all shifts, weekends, and holidays for our customers.
- Does dry ice blasting leave grit or water behind?
- Dry ice blasting uses solid carbon dioxide pellets that sublimate after impact, so there is no secondary blasting media left behind. Crews still remove the loosened overspray and residue from the work area.
- Do you clean personal vehicles?
- Indigo provides industrial dry ice blasting services. We do not offer automotive detailing or one-off personal vehicle cleaning. Industrial manufacturing work involving vehicle parts, production tooling, fleet equipment, or restoration projects may still be evaluated individually.
- How do I get started?
- Use the Get Started form on this page, or call the Hilliard shop at (614) 754-7192.
